The West Slope/Sylvan area is very pretty(if you can get a comfortable distance from the main roads) and a lot more affordable if you can't afford Lake Oswego or Burlingame (where we rent now).

We went to look at a great 1963 house near us that was open, just for fun. Awesome living room with a postcard view of Mt Hood. The place had a great downstairs rumpus room and even came with a pool table! It went for about 550k.

This town does love its mid-century marvels and that's why I love it :)
